Best for/When to Use: Protective Shield Conditioner is designed for any coat type. Working great on animals that are exposed to fleas, ticks, midgets, and flies for some added protection. Excellence on horses.
Best Used With: This product is best paired with our Protective Shield Shampoo and Mint PEK Conditioner Mask.
How to Use: We recommend this product be used at a 3:1 dilution. This means 3 parts water to 1 part product. We also recommend using the frothing technique with this product. When using the frothing technique, we recommend the following amounts for the size of the pet:
Small pet with short coat – 0.5 tsp & Small pet with long coat – 1 tsp
Medium pet with short coat – 1 tsp & Medium pet with long coat – 2 tsp
Large pet with short coat – 1 tbsp & Large pet with long coat – 2 tbsp
Average size Horses – 3-4 tbsp
In addition, you can mix a tick hydration spray by mixing 1/4 cup Protective Shield Conditioner and 1/4 cup Mint PEK Conditioner Mask with 32oz water perfect to use on horses for daily turnout.
*More products may be needed when first bathing your pet in our products as it can take up to 3-4 baths for the products to fully hydrate the coat allowing for less product. Make sure to ALWAYS follow-up your shampoo with a conditioner and allow both shampoo and conditioning products to sit on coat for 5 minutes for optimal results.
About this Product: Protective Conditioner is a conditioner balsamic-based menthol and eucalyptus extract. The extracts of chamomile and mauve sylvestre fleur calm the skin. This conditioner is the second step following Protective Shield Shampoo.
